Not only is it Pride in Buenos Aires — prepare yourself for the glitter and the Afters — it’s also Halloween and Day of the Dead. Here’s your guide for where to be and how to get in on all the action this weekend.
Halloween
The jury is still out on whether adopting typical US celebrations like Valentine or Halloween is a harmless and fun habit or a purely commercial cipayismo. Meanwhile, sweet tooths and costume lovers will be able to enjoy Buenos Aires versions of two mandatory Halloween features this Friday: candy and partying!.
In Colegiales and Villa Urquiza, neighborhood shops got together to organize trick-or-treating tours for kids, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. Details can be found on the Instagram accounts of @somos.colegiales and @somosurquiza.
If you prefer a full-on adult option, you can hit the Hot Halloween party organized by @deseobsas and @0800lineacaliente. The line up includes German DJ Gerd Janson, and back-to-back duos Guido Sartoris & Pabels and Lulu Matheou & B2B Juna. Tickets can be purchased in venti.app.
